Introduction to RF Cable

RF cable, also known as radio frequency cable, is a type of coaxial cable that is used to transmit radio frequency signals.RF cable is characterized by its ability to transmit high-frequency signals with minimal signal loss and interference.

It is constructed with a center conductor, an insulating layer, a braided or foil shield, and an outer jacket. The different components of the cable are designed to provide maximum signal integrity and protect the signal from external interference.

RF Cable Assemblies

RF Cable Assemblies Series

RF cables are cables used to transmit radio frequency signals. These signals can be used for various purposes, such as transmitting audio and video signals or communicating data transmission.

RF Cable Assembly Suitable Cable

For example, if the assembly will be used in a high-power RF application, a cable with low loss and high power handling capabilities will be required. In this case, a cable made from materials such as copper or silver-plated copper may be suitable.

Radio communication systems
Aerospace industry for accurate communication equipments
Military and space application
Ships and navy communication systems
Satellite communications
RF equipment in medicine and healthcare

It's a good cable, well made. Connectors are good quality. So far it has been very easy to extend the short cable attached to my dual band antenna. I haven't seen much difference in signal levels. Very convenient. Get 2!! I'm sure you will figure out another way to make use of them!

Cable is light and a little stiff. I'll test this and report back to the mother ship. Stay tumed

I placed a wireless Fiscal camera outside my garage door and worked until I closed the door and it lost it's wifi signal. Tried adjusting and replacing the antenna with no success. Purchased this and ran the antenna to the other side of my garage door and works great and hasn't dropped yet. also glad it came with every end possible as was unsure as Fiscal uses different connectors that most.

Lose 5db by adding this, gain 5db by relocating antenna. Why did I buy this again?

Well made. Adapters are a sweet addition. I was able to use them to solve a problem I had created for myself. The adapters may be unnecessary for your project but in my case they were worth the price of the cable and a little extra.

As for signal strength, it is excellent. As it happens, I have two MLA-30+ antennas to compare. One is standard configuration, the other has this 33' cable extension attached. In fact, the antenna with the extension has much better reception. Though this certainly is not because of the extension, I mention it to quell fears that it reduces signal strength to your receiver.

There are adapters included but not one that will match what you need. I added a single strand of copper into the adapter to work as the contact for the wire and that worked great.

I read these cables are great but in a rough environment they pull apart. Great range of adapters useful length.

I was trying to reposition the antenna for a digital TV transmitter. This product was used to get the antenna closer to the receiver end of the IOGEAR boxes. It didn't work but I am unsure if it's the cable or not.

The cable in this kit is very very thin. I have had good success with it as an antenna extension cable for a simple SDR receive only setup, however it does introduce a tiny amount of lossage. Less than 1 db but I was able to see a (small) drop in power with it in circuit versus a direct connection to the antenna.

Purchased to extend an antenna connection for an ADS-B receiver. While I can't measure the loss through the cable, I still am able to get reception that is not greatly impaired.
