FTDI cable offers a range of connection options based on USB converter cables. Connectivity options include switching from USB to RS232, RS422 or RS485 interfaces, as well as a TTL signal based interface. Many integrated electronic component cables feature FTDI chips that provide a simple, easy-to-use connection for many USB conversion applications.
The FTDI cable is designed around an RS232, which is housed in a USB C connector. The other side of the cable is terminated with a 0.1" pitch, 6-pin connector with the following pinout: (3.3V Logic) RTS (Green), RXD (Yellow), TXD (Orange), VCC 5V (Red), CTS (Brown), GND (Black). This FTDI to USB C Cable is also capable of handling high voltages up to 300V max.
No additional installation processes are required to use FTDI cables.They are easy to handle and establish fast connections with TTL and USB.They are easily available in the market at a cheaper rate.The cable is hard so it is also possible to use on hard platforms.It enables high-speed data transfer since it works for high baud rates.The interfacing with FTDI cables can be performed at any place irrespective of time.
