I had to replace some lossy RG8X for a VHF/UHF dual-bander. After being advised to get LM-240, I sprang for this instead because the price was comparable and RG-213 has less loss. It has the U rating for running outdoors. It won't go around bends gracefully however so plan accordingly.

At the time of writing this review this white LMR 400 coax was $40.00 less than the black coax and it functions just a s good. My SWR on my base station 11 meter set up is 1.2. The only negative which is true for all solid core LMR400 is the stiffness. It takes a little muscle to run the coax where you need it.

Good for my 2-way radio application 50 foot is what I received and well satisfied , Just for info on the cable though the outer shield will not Solder , the center conductor is fine but again if you plan to solder to shield it will not as that part is not copper . This cable came on time and in good condition. Please note that I bought the 25 ft cable rather than the 1 ft jumper currently listed. The Pl-259 end connections were well-made with no excess solder and were sealed to the coax with substantial, resilient heat shrink tubing. I got the RG-213 rather than cheaper RG-58 or RG-8X to reduce transmission losses from my basement VHF/UHF transceiver. For the 25 ft run to my outdoor dual-band antenna, the power loss would be 59% with RG-8X at 440 MHz or 82% with RG-58 vs. only 34% with the RG-213. Worth the extra bucks IMHO.

I was worried about running 50 ft but my SWR is pretty good. I do plan on running LMR-400 Coax and testing that but this coax is half the cost and performs very well for my use. I am using a Diamond Antenna X30A Dual band 2m/70cm antenna and (yes hate me) a BTECH UV-50X2 50 watt radio. Works GREAT!

I have used these cables for FM radio transmission, cable quality is a real RG213/U low loss, with professionals PL259 terminals. I bought these cables because my old cables 'homemade' with terminals soldered by me, do not give the same performance, with the risk that may come to be in short-circuit.

The coax appears to be of very good quality. I am using it with a recently purchased President McKinley and a horizontal dipole antenna. The antenna is only up about 7 feet from the ground on one end with the other end sloping to about 5 1/2 feet. In addition, the antenna is close to my house and not too far from power lines. Even with this compromise I’m getting an SWR of 1.2 on channel 1, 1.4 on channel 20 and 1.6 on channel 40, which is perfectly acceptable to me. If I wasn’t so lazy I’m sure I could tweak the antenna for better results. I??m happy with my purchase. Thank you.

A bit expensive for what it is. But a definite performance upgrade over RG8 coax. It tested well on the analyzer and is getting the job done. It is thick, perhaps as thick as LMR400. The advertised loss is accurate, as tested with the RigExpert, so no surprises there. Overall I'm satisfied and I do recommend this for use on HF, even VHF with runs under 50.
