About BNC connector
The BNC connector was originally designed for military applications but is now used primarily in the broadcast market. The connector has evolved to keep up with the changing industry landscape and now offers the 12G SDI performance required for 4K and Ultra HD applications. The BNC connector type designed for coaxial cable has been widely adopted and is a popular choice for existing and next-generation video technologies.
We offer a full range of BNC connector types with various female and male options. BNC connectors are small, lightweight, and reliable. The 50-ohm BNC and 75-ohm BNC connectors are available in configurations suitable for commercial and military-grade applications. A full line of printed circuit board (PBC) sockets, bulkhead receptacles, reverse polarity connectors, resistor terminals, and other accessories complement the product.
Designed to fit many common BNC coaxial cable types
BNC connectors are available in straight or right-angle versions, as well as, 4-hole flange, bulkhead, 4-hole panel, or mountless options. These BNC connector designs include clamp/solder, crimp/solder, field replaceable, solder or solder/solder attachment methods.
Bayonet coupling mechanism provides positive, fast fit and separation
BNC connector types feature a bayonet style coupling mechanism that allows for quick connect and disconnect with positive locking. Mating is achieved with just a quarter-turn of the coupling nut. With a classic, dependable design, BNC RF connectors are suited to accommodate a large variety of RG and industry-standard coaxial cables, in a variety of termination styles.
BNC connectors are constructed in male or female gender in standard polarity or reverse polarity threads, with 50 Ohm impedance.

To hell with a crimper, these faster, easier, securer the mesh gets well into the outer core thus making a better connection.
A crimp is just guess work, screwing these in you can screw off and actually see the mesh after wound around outer core.
I'll put my connection with these up against ANY crimp counterpart AND MINE WILL BE BETTER!

Quality to price ratio is very good. However if your application is for outdoor usage then weather proofing is critical. No solder fittings have at most lasted 3-5 years for me unless steps are use to prevent corrosion internal and external for the connection.

So once I figured out how to use these they do work great. I would however call them a 2 piece compression connector but they work. Make sure when you compress them that you stop when you feel the click otherwise you will damage the connector and will have to chop it off but I figured out how to make it work.
1. Pull the back boot off and slide it on the cable after stripping the cable
2. Push the connector onto the center conductor and make sure it is fully seated.
3. Push the back boot onto the connector.
4. Insert the connector into your compression tool and compress until you feel a click. Once you feel the click back off or you will damage the connector. If you have a ratcheting compression tool you may need to adjust out your tool to prevent damaging these connectors.
I use these to make HD-SDI cable and 3G-SDI cable and they work great for that application. Highly recommend these.

I had the compression ones but I was moving stuff around and needed to shorten the cables so bought these. Getting them started was a bit tricky but once they bite they are great.
