SSMB Connector-What is it?
SSMB connectors are manufactured with jack or plug gender and have a 50 ohm impedance. SSMB connectors are available in straight or right angle versions, as well as bulkhead, 4-hole panel, or no mount options. These SSMB connector designs include crimp/solder or solder connection methods.
SSMB is suitable for standard range flexible and semi-rigid cables and is also available in PCB and panel mount versions.
The quick snap-in mating design allows for fast connections. Its compact design, high durability, and excellent electrical performance make it one of the most widely used connectors for RF and microwave applications.
Performance of SSMB connector
The SSMB 50 ohm connectors are smaller versions of the standard SMB connectors, and the SSMB series offers excellent electrical performance in a small package. While snap-on mating interfaces allow for fast installation and dense packaging, the SSMB series' excellent electrical performance allows it to be used in many applications as an alternative to larger connectors such as SMA.
