Most technicians are not equipped to assemble BNC cables; this RG-58U BNC cable is quality-built for RF/video service. The BNC connectors have a nickel-plated copper outer shell and a gold-plated brass needle set within a Teflon insulator; fit and finish are excellent. The BNC connectors include a 1/2" metallic strain relief sleeve; the vendor adds 2" of heat-shrink tubing for additional kink resistance (avoid impedance bump). The RG-58U cable dielectric is low-loss foamed polyethylene, and the RG-58U cable PVC outer jacket is inert and long-lasting within indoor environments. I expect long service life from this quality-built cable.
