Coupling Options. The D38999 connector series is available in bayonet, breech, and threaded options.
Ruggedization. MIL-DTL-39028 connectors are highly rugged and designed to be resistant to shock, vibration, harsh environments, and temperature extremes.
Previously known as MIL-C-38999, MIL-DTL-38999 connectors come in four series: Series I, Series II, Series III, and Series IV. They are environmentally resistant connectors that use removable crimp contacts and have an operating range of -65 to +200℃.

D38999 connectors are available in 9 shell sizes.
D38999 Connector Keying Position
Six distinct keying positions are available for each shell size in the D38999 series of connectors: N, A, B, C, D, and E. A plug will only mate with a receptacle with the same keying code. Having 6 different keying positions allows the use of up to six D38999/26FJ61P plugs in the same space without the possibility of mating a plug with the incorrect receptacle.
The 39028 specification defines families of shells that intermate to protect from vibration, shock, and moisture. Inside the connectors are inserts that can be configured for various contact arrangements.

I needed a reliable connector for my project. I'm happy to say it did not disappoint. The 13 pin crimp is well-made and the N orientation works perfectly for my setup. Not too expensive, but certainly not a cheap solution either. All in all, a very suitable option.

I've been using the D38999 Series III connector for a while now and have never had any issues with it. The male socket flange with a 13 pin crimp is very sturdy and durable, perfect for heavy-duty use. It's not the cheapest option out there, but definitely worth the price for the quality you're getting. Very suitable for my needs.

I purchased the D38999/20WB35PN male socket flange and it has been very suitable for our industrial applications. The 13 pin crimp design is durable and the N orientation works well for our specific setup. Not too expensive, but definitely not too cheap either.
