D-subs, also called D-subminiature connectors, are a type of electrical connector used for analog and digital video signals, serial and parallel data transmission, and high-reliability applications.
One special type of them is the High-Density DB style, which with pins that are slightly smaller and placed closer together. This is typically referred to as an "HD" connector.
