Metabee M16 connectors are manufactured according to the AISG standard (AISG C 485), which offers 2 to 24 contacts with dip soldering, crimp, screw clamp, solder and stranded wire, and is also available with moulded cable. Some versions are shieldable, and users can expect more than 500 mating cycles.
I purchased this M16 for a project I was working on and overall, it was a solid choice. However, I did have some trouble identifying the correct pinout due to the labeling. Still, the soldering was easy and the connector itself seems very sturdy.
