I was changing the battery location in my latest project car. I used a short battery cable to the starter and a longer cable to cross from the other side of the engine compartment. I tied them together on the fender near the starter with the terminal for positive battery connection (red). It also makes a handy place to charge the battery or jump start the car. I adopted the idea from Mercedes.

Great replacement for damaged car wiring

Bought to replace damaged battery terminal junction/splice blocks on my 53 year old classic car. Can no longer find the original part and mine we badly damaged by rust, cracking and the ravages of time. Fit where the old ones were, just needed to drill one new hole to mount as my original was a one bolt mount which created some of the damage. Great product great fit. Looks like original if you don't notice second mount on the bottom. I turned vertically to mostly hide the bottom screw.
