Connection Method and Material
N-type male connectors use shield/contact crimp/non-solder contact as the connection method.
The N-type male coaxial connector has a PTFE dielectric type. The N-type coaxial connector has a brass body with tri-metal plating. This N-type male coaxial RF connector is RoHS compliant.
For higher frequencies (144 MHz and up), earlier UHF connectors have been replaced on LMR-400 coax cables with these to reduce node reflections and losses. These connectors, exposed to weather outdoors, have performed well and are priced below alternatives. Thanks!

For years I've fought with N-connectors. I love them for function...but I hate assembling them. Probably because I've picked up loads of used solder-style N-connectors at swap meets and have disassembled and reassembled them with mixed success. Boy, are there a lot of different types; externally they all look alike but internally there is quite a variety. I finally treated myself to the crimp style.
